Broncos Player Gets Arrested After Calling Cops on Girlfriend

// Remember Dave Chappelle's skit, "When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong?" Well this next story
is the 2016 version of that... On Monday Morning, Broncos wide receiver Cody
Latimer called Denver area police to report that his girlfriend had "put her hands on
him". Once officers arrived at the scene, the customary background checks were ran on
the parties involved and an arrest was made... Both of them got arrested actually -- even
Cody Latimer, who called the police.

Latimer, who's a third year wide receiver
out of Indiana, had a warrant for his arrest due to several unpaid tickets. The tickets
ranged from improper lighting on his vehicle to missing a court date. Latimer had to pay
a $311 dollar fine, but was later released. NFL players seem to have a knack for being
arrested for strange things, like Desmond Bryant of the Browns, who was arrested in
2013 for ripping the door handle off of a home he thought was his.

As for Latimer, he bailed out his lady on
Tuesday afternoon and addressed the matter on Twitter. "I reached out to the team on Monday to let
them know of a personal issue that I dealt with over the weekend. I believe I handled
it the right way, but I had no idea of the unrelated unpaid traffic ticket. That's completely
on me, and I took care of that today.

Back to Football." Latimer's girlfriend admitted to slapping
him, but the Broncos receiver did the correct thing in calling police -- especially with
the NFL's new and much needed stance on domestic violence. But that's the news for now, for more of today's
